The "Japan Kingyo Hozonkai of Belgium" was started
by two goldfish enthousiasts: Geert Coppens and Karel Verstraete. They have been breeding Japanese Goldfish for more than 15 years. It is the aim of the kai to unite Japanese Goldfish fanciers in Europe and to exchange information. The kai hopes to preserve the Japanese Goldfish in Europe the way they are bred and kept in Japan. The kai organises an annual meeting in Belgium and publishes a magazine devoted to Japanese Goldfish twice a year.
